Objective

The Vice President of Maintenance's role is to promote, sell, and retain customers. 

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Full Profit and Loss responsibilities for operations.
  2. Provide strong leadership and support to functional reports.
  3. Improve the profitability of the businesses by championing and implementing operational excellence techniques, continuous improvement processes and verification metrics.
  4. Coordinate sales efforts with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups within the organization.
  5. Attract new clients and maintenance and inspection sales.
  6. Helping (i.e. in coordination with the department managers) to set the priorities and strategic direction of the firm and ensuring that business unit leaders have the resources (including staff capacity, technology, and training) they need to achieve their goals
  7. Foster a teamwork oriented, high performance culture that is customer focused
  8. Work with the company's senior management team to develop appropriate strategic plans for profitable business growth including identifying acquisitions, vertical integration projects, and new markets that will be accretive to revenues and profitability
  9. Identify and assist in acquisition opportunities that can have a material, positive impact on Million Air's profitability and long-term strategic growth.
  10. Contract review and negotiation (all types of contracts are involved in the operation of a business and someone beyond legal needs to be responsible for ensuring compliance with budgets and goals of the company).

Reporting Relationship

This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer

 

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional environment, which may include exposure to all types of weather conditions and direct contact with both moving and non-moving aircraft.

 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is an exempt position. This position may require working evenings and weekends, and on company scheduled holidays.

 

Travel

Travel is expected for this position and may include industry trade shows, sales opportunities, and new location start up as required.

 

Required Education and Experience

  1. FAR part 135, or 121 management experience is preferred, but not mandatory
  2. Minimum of 5-7 years of business experience resulting in full P&L responsibility for a business, or financial responsibility for a significant functional area

  1. Industry knowledge preferred
