The Director of Sales' (DOS) main goal is to maximize the potential of each FBO and the network development, while focusing on the customer experience. The DOS fosters a teamwork-oriented network of FBOs, eager to work with other locations on sales leads. The DOS train's locations on the soft skills of creating a Wow Customer Experience and partners with them in identifying and going after new customer opportunities.

Responsibilities / Duties

The responsibilities and duties will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Explore opportunities for fuel sales, hangar rentals or other revenue streams through the network by using internal and external tools.
  • Hold regular calls with Million Air owners and general managers to develop a relationship, get to know their region and identify and target customers for their location.
  • Be a brand Ambassador of Million Air by traveling to attend tradeshows, networking industry meetings, golf tournaments, sponsored events, etc.
  • Collaborate with peers and Million Air FBO leaders to gather intelligence and information for any new customer opportunity.
  • Work with the Chief Branding Officer to manage major flight department contracts and relationships.
  • Manage direct customer interaction for Million Air FBO service-related issues whether received directly, through various media channels or through customer comment cards.
  • Review all web reservations and use the information to communicate with the flight department post departure assessing satisfaction with their experience.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Director for sales needs for events and sales materials.
  • Support and contribute to Million Air Interlink' s internal communications tools and training events.
  • Coordinate and deliver direct training through visits or scheduled calls to support as needed: Customer Service Training, CSI Sales Module Training, Upselling, FBO Sales training, etc.

  • Customer Focus naturally outgoing/extroverted. Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated, and highly customer oriented.
  • Communicate with customers and employees in person, phone, and electronically.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products and data management

Reporting Relationships

Reports directly to the Chief Brand and Business Development Officer.

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional environment, which may include exposure to all types of weather conditions and direct contact with both moving and non-moving aircraft.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, to include but not limited to:

  • Able to lift and carry up to 50
  • Stand to greet customers during verbal exchanges, walk throughout the facility to interact with customers.
  • Possible exposure to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery.

Position Type and Hours of Work

This is an Exempt position. This position may require working evenings and weekends, and on company scheduled holidays.


Travel is expected for this position. Possible travel may include industry trade shows, sales opportunities, and assisting other locations.

Education, Experience, and Eligibility Qualifications

  • High level of sales experience aviation, minimum 3 years in the industry.
  • Ability to identify, lead, and manage sales plans.
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 1 week per month with a maximum of 2 weeks per month.
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new programs.
  • Must demonstrate a willingness to continuously improve sales and the customer
  • Must be highly organized and detail
  • High energy level and positive
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple
  • Strong written and verbal
