The parts manager is a hands-on management position overseeing the day-to-day activities of the parts area for the 145 repair station.

Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Inventory control, purchasing parts, shipping and
  2. IncominginspectiononreceivedpartspertheFAA145repairstation
  3. Management and training of assigned personnel
  4. Record and maintain parts purchase records, which provide an audit trail on all purchases, including physical annual inventory of all parts.
  5. Request and record quotes/bids for parts and keep current on availability to avoid delays in sourcing as
  6. Maintain clean and safe work areas by keeping parts room neat and orderly, doing required housekeeping and updates as
  7. Work in team environment under a Repair Station to the highest FAA
  8. Annual Re-Current Training as required

  1. Communicate with customers, vendors, and employees in person, on phone, and through radio communications
  2. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and be insurable by our insurance company(Requires clean driving record)
  3. Strong computer skills including Microsoft office products and use of data base management system for inventory control
  4. Basic mathematical knowledge
  5. Bi-lingual preferred

Reporting Relationship

This position reports to the Director of Maintenance.

Work Environment

This position works inside a hangar and outside in all types of weather conditions and direct contact with both moving and non-moving aircraft. This position may be exposed to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, to include but not limited to:

  1. Position requires sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of
  2. Good physical condition, frequent lifting, carrying weight up to 35 pounds, and occasional pushing/pulling weights upto100 pounds.
  3. Possibleexposuretohazardousnoiselevels,chemicals,fumes,andmachinery

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is an exempt position.

This position may include shift work which requires working evenings and weekends, and on scheduled company holidays.


No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

  1. 3-5years' experience in aviation industry shipping, receiving and
  2. High School Diploma or equivalent
  3. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  1. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  2. Self-starter, detail oriented, ability to manage time and priorities
  3. Acceptable driving record
  4. Ability to pass a background check
  5. Participate in DOT drug and alcohol screening program
