Position

Summary

Responsible for development and oversight of quality assurance programs, policies and procedures.


Essential Functions





1. Adhere to General Work Requirements

2. Responsibility for implementing quality assurance policy and procedures.

3. Administration of the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance program.

4. Develop and maintain the Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program.

5. Responsibility for the audit of domestic and foreign repair stations, repair shops and Part 65 maintenance Technicians and ensures their qualifications to perform the necessary maintenance, inspection or repair of Company aircraft.

6. Develop, audit and administer the Required Inspection Item Program.

7. Maintain the Primary maintenance Facility List and Required Inspection Item Inspectors list.

8. Maintain current files regarding Required Inspection Item Inspectors qualifications and training.

9. Conduct initial conformity inspections of all aircraft.

10. Establishing adequate safety precautions and standards.

11. Responsible to promote and support the Safety Program, SMS and the Quality Assurance throughout the Maintenance Department.

12. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

· Working knowledge of corporate/business aviation current practices and procedures.

· Must have proven managerial skills.

· Computer skills necessary to operate word processing, email, web-based applications and Apple iPad applications.

Minimum Qualifications

· A&P Certification

· Five years or more experience in the technical area of aviation

· Proven managerial skills.


Additional Desired Qualifications

· Previous experience in Part 121,135 air carrier or Part 91 corporate aircraft operations.

· Experience managing maintenance and / or quality assurance technicians.

· Strong communication skills.


Physical Requirements

· Majority of work is completed in a normal office work environment and aircraft maintenance hangar environment.

· Physical demands that may require a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (i.e., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) telephone.

· Physical demands may include walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping

· May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling up to 25lbs

· Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
