Position

Summary

The primary function of this position is to promote the safety, profitability, and GMM policies and procedures of Million Air Dallas through effective and efficient maintenance services on company aircraft.


Essential Functions





1. Adhere to General Work Requirements

2. Perform scheduled maintenance for each individual aircraft, troubleshoot problems, make repairs, and complete inspections required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

3. Read and interpret manufacturer's and airline's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, etc.

4. Ability to troubleshot and operate Plane view, Proline and Vision Avionics systems.

5. Assembles and installs flight controls, engines, pneumatics, fuel systems, oxygen, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulics, mechanical components and accessories installed in aircraft.

6. Properly record the work performed on the appropriate maintenance record.

7. Ensure you are thoroughly familiar with all tools and equipment, including inspection aids used within your assigned area of responsibility.

8. Must be able to perform all maintenance functions unsupervised.

9. Comply with all safety rules and all regulations.

10. Ability to enter and access technical data within computer systems.

11. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

· Minimum of 5 years of documented experience on Corporate Aircraft as an Aircraft or Avionics Technician on variety of aircraft models (Gulfstream, Bombardier, Cessna, etc.).

· A&P License issued by the FAA.

· Must have your own toolbox and tools.


Additional Desired Qualifications

· Previous experience in Part 121,135 air carrier or Part 91 corporate aircraft operations.

· Strong communication skills.

· Aircraft avionics troubleshooting experience.


Physical Requirements

· Majority of work is completed in a normal office work environment and aircraft maintenance hangar environment.

· Physical demands that may require a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (i.e., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) telephone.

· Physical demands may include walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping

· Must have the ability to climb, bend, crawl, sit, stand, fit in confined spaces and be able to lift over 75 lbs.

· May require working in inclement weather.

· Will require work on weekends, nights, and holidays and 2nd shift work.

· This position requires weekend on-call on a rotating basis.
