Objective
We are immediately seeking an experienced, reliable payroll specialist to join our growing company. In this role you will oversee payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You will work in a high-volume deadline-driven environment, processing and managing changes for over 400 interstate payroll accounts on a Weekly, Bi-weekly, and Semi-Monthly schedule.
You will work collaboratively with a team of skilled professionals in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, demonstrating precision and expertise, to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Responsibilities / Duties
The responsibilities and duties will include but not be limited to the following:
- Consistently, accurately process payroll for 400+ employees
- Manage workflow as prescribed to maximize efficiency
- Audit timesheets accurately to ensure wages and benefits are properly distributed
- Accurately record and document all transactions, as directed
- Research, analyze, and resolve all discrepancies, reporting to management as needed
- Monitor all accounts continually for accuracy
- Ensure accurate taxation and garnishment is applied to each account
- Participate in end-of-month closing and audits
- Develop and maintain custom reports to meet business needs
- Conduct year-end reporting for W-2s etc.
- Remain in constant communication with teammates and management to make necessary changes/updates
- Remain in compliance with all legal and institutional requirements at all times
- Ability to retain confidential information
- Accepts additional assignments related to payroll reporting functions
- Demonstrates an ability to perform a variety of tasks, maintains flexibility as needs change
- Demonstrates an ability to respond to changing workloads and crisis and emergency situations

Education, Experience, and Eligibility Qualifications
- Associates degree in business administration or equivalent work experience, Bachelor's' degree preferred
- Must have 5 or more years' ADP payroll experience
- Previous experience with ADP Workforce Now and E-time
- Significant experience working in multi-state payroll
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of tax code
- Strong bookkeeping skills
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Aptitude for numbers and exceptional commitment to accuracy
- Team-player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Outstanding problem solving and analytical thinking skills
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
Reporting Relationships
Reports directly to the Payroll Manager
Work Environment
This position operates in a professional environment, which may include exposure to all types of weather conditions and direct contact with both moving and non-moving aircraft.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, to include but not limited to:
- Able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
- Stand to greet customers during verbal exchanges, walk throughout the facility to interact with customers.
- Possible exposure to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery.
Position Type and Hours of Work
This is a Non-Exempt position. This position may require working evenings and weekends, and on company scheduled holidays.
