OBJECTIVE:
The Staff Aviation Bookkeeper is responsible for entering all revenues and expenses into the financial record keeping system. In addition, this position will be responsible for updating fuel reports, balancing FBO fuel inventories. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, fixed asset ledger, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Manage Accounts Receivables, ensure accuracy, research discrepancies, track payments & prepare bank deposits.
- Manage Accounts Payable, ensure accuracy, paid timely, charged to correct GL accounts & maintain vendor W-9 records.
- Manage full Payroll processing, maintain timekeeping system, resolve discrepancies in pay & track employee changes.
- Employee HR & benefits management & maintain up-to-date employee records.
- Manage all company bank accounts, including petty cash.
- Analyze & prepare Fuel Tax Reports and Sales Tax Reports for state agencies.
- Supports budget and forecasting activities.
- Responds to inquiries from the CFO, and other finance personnel regarding financial results, special reporting requests.
- Works with the General Manager to ensure timely monthly financial reporting and accounts receivable.

- Prior experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area. Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
This position reports to the General Manager.

This position operates in a professional environment.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is an hourly position.
TRAVEL:
Minimal travel is expected for this position.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting.
- Prior FBO or Aviation experience preferred but not required.
- Five years prior experience in the financial report/general ledger areas.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience with a large, automated accounting system a plus.
- Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.
