The valet/ramp agent is responsible for providing efficient service for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company procedures with primary focus on receiving and departing aircraft. Also requires communicating effectively with customers, pilots, and team members within the line service and customer service departments.

Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Create positive customer experiences by consistently providing excellent, five-star
  2. Park and retrieve customers' vehicles in a safe and timely manner, in designated valet parking storage area(s).
  3. Assist customers and/or guests with luggage and other items, encouraging a positive arrival and departure experience.
  4. Monitor the parking/drive up area to keep the flow of vehicles
  5. Assist guests, customers, and staff with general inquiries about parking and flight services (i.e., car detailing, ice, coffee, water, lavatory, ). Enter information and preferences into CSI portal.
  6. Assist customers and/or guests with luggage and other items, encouraging a positive arrival and departure experience.
  7. Monitor the parking/drive up area to keep the flow of vehicles
  8. Assist guests, customers, and staff with general inquiries about parking, site location,
  9. directions, amenities, attractions,
  10. Keep track of car rentals for Contact rental car agencies outside of Million Air contracts at the beginning of each shift to let them know of vehicles that need to be picked up.
  11. Provide shuttle service to and from the main airport terminal and hotels, as needed.
  12. Other duties as assigned.

Competencies

  1. Customer focus-naturally outgoing/extroverted
  2. Communicate with customers and employees in person, on phone, and through radio communications
  3. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and be insurable by our insurance company (Requires clean driving record)
  4. Strong computer skills including Microsoft office products
  5. Basic mathematical knowledge
  6. Bi-lingual preferred

Reporting Relationship
This position reports to the Valet Manager

Work Environment
This position works outside in all types of weather conditions and direct contact with both moving and non-moving aircraft. This position may be exposed to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, to include but not limited to:

  1. Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  2. Possible exposure to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery
  3. Outside work in all types of weather conditions
  4. Position may requires bending, lifting, walking, stooping, squatting, gripping and climbing a ladder

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a non-exempt position. This position includes shift work which requires working evenings and weekends, and on scheduled company holidays.

Travel
Occasional travel may be required for this position for training and special event purposes.

Education, Experience, and Eligibility Qualifications

  1. Customer service experience in the service industry preferred
  2. High School Diploma or equivalent
  3. Entry level position
  4. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  5. Acceptable driving record
  6. Ability to pass a background check
  7. Zero tolerance drug free employer includes pre-employment and random screening
