The HR Manager is responsible to effectively support all employee related functions in the company. Manage all HR Coordinators/Administrator utilizing using in-depth knowledge of company policies, benefits, and programs as well as communicating effectively with all team members.


Responsibilities and Duties

  1. To lead and promote a fun, professional and exciting environment which supports the unique culture at Million Air

  2. Employee development opportunities to educate employees on company policy, company standards, safety standards, benefits education, etc.

  3. Responsible for administration of 401k plan, including required reporting, notice distribution, audit preparation, open enrollment, and employee request processing.

  4. Benefits administration to include medical, life, STD insurance, vision, dental, and cobra benefits. Assist with open enrollment for multiple shifts. Complete all required reporting and notice distribution associated with a self-insured benefits program.

  5. Participate in employee dispute resolution with local management as required. Take lead in any complaints filed with various government agencies.

  6. Work with HR Administrator on all workers comp claims and unemployment claims.

  7. Oversee Non-DOT drug program for all business units including completion of Designated Employer Representative training by program administrator.

  8. Develop a thorough knowledge of company policy and work to ensure the Company policies are in compliance with state and local employment laws.

  9. Provide turnover data to senior team.

  10. Update Affirmative Action Plan and ensure all compliance posters are current and posted.

  1. Employee focus- naturally outgoing/extroverted

  2. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Products and ADP Workforce Now modules at an Administrator level.

  3. Understanding of HR principles and procedures

  4. Minimum 3 years of business experience with emphasis on HR functions, reporting and compliance, and employee liaison.

  5. Absolute confidentiality and high integrity.  Must be reliable and dependable, and available for occasional evening/weekend employee issue resolution.

  6. Ability to exercise independent direction and judgement, and work in a fast paced, time sensitive environment.

  7. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Excellent critical thinking skills.

  8. Experience in a multi-company environment preferred.

  9. Ability to successfully manage the Human Resource Department.


Reporting Relationship

This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer


Work Environment

This position operates in a professional environment, which may include exposure to all types of weather conditions and direct contact with both moving and non-moving aircraft.


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is an exempt position. Set schedule of Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day.



Minimal travel is expected for this position.


Required Education and Experience

  1. Minimum 5 years HR principles and procedures experience

  2. HR degree required

  3. Prefer multi-site HR Management experience


Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  1. Ability to occasionally work evenings and/or weekends

  2. Acceptable driving record

  3. Ability to pass a background check

  4. Zero tolerance drug free company
